A charity in New Zealand is teaching rescue dogs how to drive.

The aim is to prove how intelligent the animals can be.

The three dogs can start a car, accelerate, steer and brake.

Monty, Porter and Ginny, as the dogs are called, sit in a driving position on their haunches responding to instructions called out from the dog behaviour experts.
