Air Malta has resumed normal scheduled operations to Catania's Fontanarossa airport after infrastructural works on the city's airport runway were finalised.

Due to the airport closure and the limited capacity at Sigonella airport, which was used as an alternative airport, Air Malta was forced to cancel some services.

The airline flies to Catania on a daily basis and offered passengers the possibility of a day trip on Mondays and Saturdays with fares starting from €68 return, including all taxes and charges.

Check-in times have now been reversed to standard timings. Check-in in Malta and Catania will open two hours before departure and close 30minutes prior to the
scheduled time of departure.
