Koeman: Feyenoord have extended the deal of their coach Ronald Koeman until 2014. The former Dutch international defender – who memorably scored the goal that won Barcelona the first ever Champions League competition when they beat Sampdoria 1-0 at Wembley in 1992 – has been at the club since 2011. He was also named Dutch coach of the year last season.

Calero dies: Former Colombia and Pachuca goalkeeper Miguel Calero died at the age of 41 in Mexico on Tuesday, one week after being taken to hospital with cerebral thrombosis. Calero won 51 caps for his country, making his debut against Nigeria in 1995 and playing his last game against Haiti in 2009.

Eriksson: Ukraine’s football federation is holding talks with former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson about running the former Soviet republic’s national team. “An offer has been made, negotiations are under way,” a spokeswoman for the federation said. Swede Eriksson, 64, has served as technical director of Thai club BEC Tero Sasana since September.

Mourinho: It is “not certain” that Jose Mourinho will take over as Paris SG coach next season, according to club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi. The Real Madrid boss has been tipped to leave his post at the end of the season with PSG touted as a possible destination. “Mourinho to PSG? It is not certain,” he said. “It is the media who talk about it, not me. Mourinho is at Real Madrid and Carlo Ancelotti is with us.”

Obi Mikel: Nigerian midfielder John Obi Mikel has signed a new five-year contract with Chelsea. The 25-year-old, who arrived from Norwegian club Lyn in 2006, is now under contract at Stamford Bridge until 2017. Mikel has made 261 appearances during his time at the club, scoring twice, and has won the Premier League once, the FA Cup four times, the League Cup, and the Champions League.
