The Grand Culinary and Crafts Christmas festival is being held at the Malta Fairs and Convention Centre, Ta’ Qali, next Friday, Saturday and Sunday, offering a feast for the senses, showcasing an extensive array of culinary delights and crafts from the Majjistral territory.

Combining art, live music and a rich blend of local delicacies, the Majjistral Action Group Foundation (MAGF) is offering a festival experience to provide social and economic benefits to the local community, its artists, voluntary organisations, local businesses, farmers, craftsmen and agro-alimentary producers.

The event seeks to emphasise Majjistral’s 16 rural localities, their local crafts, produce and agro-alimentary products.

Various activities, including culinary competitions between chefs and enthusiasts, artists working on site, performances by local band clubs from the territory, recitals by local choirs, the entertainment programme Il Korrida and much more, are taking place during the event.

The festival also includes various stalls, with local wine, beer, honey, olive oil, crafts (cribs, ceramics, glass, filigree, wool and stone), where the local artisans have the opportunity to promote their products and generate additional revenue through their sale.

The festival aims to transmit the feel of a small village within the heart of the Majjistral territory and a magical atmosphere thanks to the lights, sounds and smells of the spectacle.

Entry to the festival is free. Opening times are Friday from 5pm to 10pm, Saturday from 10am to 10pm and Sunday from 10am to 9pm.
