TV personality and chef Manuel Xuereb has just launched his second cookery book Aroma Kitchen Book 2. The book, which is divided into various sections, features fully-illustrated recipes.

Written in both Maltese and English for easier reference, the book includes a collection of recipes that features soups and starters, fresh pasta and gnocchi, an array of maincourse ideas and desserts.

The recipes reflect the chef’s particular style and his reputation for using genuine, fresh ingredients and for keeping things simple.

“This second volume took about nine months to complete,” the chef said.

“I decided to keep the recipes as simple as possible for everyone to enjoy preparing. Food was meant to be shared, and the recipes in this book are ideal for sharing with guests, friends and family.” In fact, thanks to easy-to-follow, step-by-step guides, the cookery book will also appeal to and be particularly appreciated by those who aren’t necessarily experts in the kitchen.

The book also offers a few useful tips the chef has collected over the years that address some of the most common concerns in the kitchen.

It starts out with a short section on fresh herbs, followed by hot and cold soups.

There are ideas for fast and easy meals if you’re tired after work and three whole sections dedicated to cakes and sweets. Fans of traditional Maltese cuisine will also welcome the chapter focusing exclusively on Maltese treats.

The recipes reflect the chef’s ethos of “living life to the full… eat, drink and love.”
