Children and young adults aged 11 to 21 are invited to register to take part in the international Wrigley Litter Less Campaign. Participants carry out an investigation on litter in their respective country and report about it by writing an article of up to 1,000 words, or by submitting 12 photos and a 150-word caption, or by producing a video clip up to three minutes long.

The best local entires in each of three age categories (11 to 14; 15 to 18 and 19 to 21) will be chosen by a national jury set up by Nature Trust (Malta) which runs the international Young Reporters for the Environment (YRE) locally. The winners will be awarded prizes and go on a mission abroad in October 2013.

Students may take part in their school’s name or individually. Registrations must be submitted by December 15, and entries have to be uploaded on www.yremalta.org by April 12, 2013. For details, contact the YRE national coordinator on yre@naturetrustmalta.org.
