Form 1 students at St Martin’s College, Swatar, were recently given a special treat when the Ardeo quartet, one of France’s leading female ensembles, visited the school. They played pieces by Reicha, Debussy and Ravel, among other composers, while Rosetta Debattista, head of the Manoel Theatre’s Toi Toi educational programme, explained the composers’ stylistic differences and the musicians’ different styles and techniques.
