The 17 silver coated statuettes which are to be presented to the European film award winners tomorrow arrived from London this morning.

One was symbolically presented to Tourism Minister Mario de Marco in the presence of European Film Academy director Marion Döring and Film Commissioner Peter Busuttil.

The statuettes weigh 2.6 kilos. They will now be put away safely in preparation for the awards.

The European Film Awards, held outside Berlin every two years, will be hosted in Malta for the first time.
