• The feast of Christ the King will be celebrated today at 4pm with a celebration at Xagħra near the playing field. Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will deliver a message. In case of bad weather the function will be held at Xewkija parish church.
• A Christmas market organised by the Victoria council will be held at St George’s Square, Victoria, today from 9.30am to 9pm.
• John Carter will be screened at the Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, today at 5.30pm.
• Masses at Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary will be said today at 6.15, 8.30, 10 and 11.15am and 5pm, followed by the recital of the rosary and Eucharistic benediction.
• The Friends of the Sick and Elderly in Gozo will be holding a charity fair at the Victoria football ground, next to the main car park, today from 7.30am to 1pm. Each car space costs €10.
• A Christmas bazaar is being held at St Anthony Centre at the convent of the Franciscan Friars in Għajnsielem until next Sunday. Opening hours are Monday to Saturday from 4 to 7.30pm and on Sunday from 7.30am to noon and from 4 to 7.30pm.
• Playful, an evening of short plays by 356 Company, will be held at the Gozo Ministry on Friday and next Sunday at 8pm. Tickets cost €10 each and are available from Bargate Bookshop.
• The Diocesan Eucharistic Movement will be holding a prayer evening at Fontana parish church on Saturday at 8pm, followed by Mass at midnight.
• The Bethel Charismatic Group will be holding a prayer meeting at Our Lady of Pompeii church, Victoria, on Saturday at 7pm.
• The Gozo Bird Breeders Society will be holding a bird show at the Gozo sports complex in Victoria on Saturday and next Sunday from 9am to 8pm.
• The Institute of Earth Systems at University and the Gozo Ministry are holding a Sicily-Malta biogeographical transboundery insular connectivity (Simbiotic) workshop at Hotel Ta’ Ċenċ in Sannat on Thursday from 7 to 9pm and an Open Day at the Government experimental farm in Xewkija on Saturday from 9.30am to 2pm.
