Some 60 employees who work with disabled people with difficult behaviour will have an 11-month training programme in an EU-funded project.

The national commission for people with a disability (KNPD) has signed an agreement with the Planning and Priorities Coordination Division on a project for social inclusion of disabled people with difficult behaviour.

The project, split in three parts, includes research which aims at providing a clearer picture of the situation in Malta.

It will also cover professional training and preparation for developing a policy.

The research carried out about the sector can be found at www.kndp.org.
