A new home to enable people with disabilities to live within the community was opened today in Qawra by Archbishop Paul Cremona.

The home was set up by Dar tal-Providenza as part of its strategy to encourage more of its residents to move into the community.

The new home will be the residence of three people who have physical disabilities.

The three were involved in the preparation of the, which is equipped for their   particular needs. They also came up with its name: Dar l-Akkwarell.

Dar tal-Providenza opened the doors of its first home in the community,  'Dar iz-Zerniq' in 1995.
