Renald Hayman, 32 of Senglea was accused in court today with having assaulted his former partner within the law courts building yesterday morning.

The court heard that he slammed her head against a court notice board.

The prosecution said the accused has a history of violent behaviour.

He was accused of harassing, assaulting and slightly injuring Rodienne Pace, breaching bail conditions and a probation order.

Magistrate Anthony Micallef Trigona said the accused had been given enough chances and he refused bail, without waiting for the defence lawyer to explain reasons for a bail request.
