The feast of Christ the King will be celebrated this Sunday in the square near Balzan parish church, the Curia said.

The ceremony will be presided by Archbishop Paul Cremona, accompanied by Auxiliary Bishop Charles Scicluna.

The theme is "Signs of hope; faith which guides us along our life".

The event starts at 4 p.m. and will include a feature on the theme and an address by the Archbishop.

Christ the King events start on Friday will a meeting for youths with the Archbishop. It will be held at Sghajtar parish centre in Naxxar between 6.30 p.m. and 9 p.m. The theme will be "Senseless faith?"

On Saturday the Archbishop will meet children at St Monica School, Fleur-de-Lys, at 4 p.m.
