The Director General of the GRTU has been involved in all sorts of stuff in his most varied and colourful life, even going as far as being a PN candidate in the MEP elections.

I know all the accusations leveled against him are still pending judgment and it is essential to have proper irrefutable proof in a court of law. But in politics some very serious allegations should be enough to get you ostracised or condemned.

For its own sense of probity can the PN please disassociate itself from its former candidate?

Winning elections is commendable, and keeping the GRTU and its perceived—and de facto—leader in your good books is politically sound and expedient. But we need to rise above this in our land. Either we start doing this or we end up being a land of dolts with some allegedly unsavoury candidates representing the parties at the helm.
