Hundreds of children filled the historic Inquisitor's Summer Palace and its grounds in Girgenti today and enjoyed a range of activities held by the Office of the Children's Commissioner to mark International Children's Day.

The children and their parents were able to tour the palace - normally used by the prime minister to host distinguished overseas visitors - and play in the grounds while enjoying the extensive countryside view.

Various stands were set up promoting children's rights, first aid, sports and healthy eating, among other subjects.
