The Sacred Heart Major Seminary of Gozo has just launched a new website to mark its anniversary on November 4.

The website www.sacredheartseminary.org.mt was launched by seminarians Joseph Hili and Michael Grima during a meeting for priests and religious at the seminary.

In a short message the rector, Fr Daniel Xerri, said the aim of the website was to bring the seminary in closer contact with the virtual world.

“If we want to reach out to today’s people and convey Christ to them, we have to go to the place where we can find people. Moreover, we have to convey Christ in a language people understand,” he said.

The rector also said the website was not simply a source of information about the community and life at the seminary.

“Those who visit us on the site will share with us our same experience of faith, the reason why we are here, the joy we feel in our journey with Jesus, the challenges we have to face and the hopes that, as the Church of Christ, we wish to offer to today’s world. Above all, we wish to share the Lord’s love for us and for all mankind,” he said.

All the articles in the website were prepared by the seminarians themselves.
