Mrieħel school starts marathon fundraiser

St Theresa College Girls’ Secondary, Mrieħel, in conjunction with Gestfest, today kicks off the 23rd edition of its annual fundraising activity in aid of the Maltese Community Chest Fund, Caritas (Malta), Cystic Fibrosis Trust, The Ladybird Foundation and the school’s Benevolent Fund.
The marathon fundraising activity starts today with an open day at the school from 7am to 1.30pm. The event will include activities for all the family including a walk and jog event, a car show, bike rides and a BMX show, abseiling, a dog training school, pony rides, a demonstration of first aid and fire fighting, a pet show, a bazaar, catering, athletic seminars and athletic nursery group training.
This charity event ends with the traditional fun run and entertainment at the school on November 30 from noon to 1.45pm. Students from various schools forming part of St Theresa College as well as other schools will take part in the 1.2-kilometre fun run.
The proceeds collected will be distributed to the directors of the charity institutions on this day.
