Obituary
DEBATTISTA. On November 15, at Mater Dei Hospital, Fr PATRICK DEBATTISTA, OFM Cap., aged 74, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss the Franciscan Capuchin Friars, his sisters and brothers Gracie and her husband Emmanuel Vella, Joe and his wife Doris, Emmanuel and his wife Tessie, Yvonne and her husband Carmel Costa, George and his wife Miriam, and Doris and her husband Ronald Ceci, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 8.30am for the Holy Trinity parish church, Marsa, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9.15am, followed by interment in the Capuchins’ vault at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
DEBONO. On November 16, at Mater Dei Hospital, CYNTHIA of Żejtun, aged 74, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sisters Karmena Saliba, Spira Demicoli and Theresa Olinski, Dr Vincent Moran, widower of her sister Maggie, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on November 19 at 2.45pm for St Catherine’s parish church, Żejtun, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3.15pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Żejtun cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar Nazareth, Żejtun, will be greatly appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
FOX. On November 6, in Guernsey, LESLIE, née Campbell, aged 90. Deeply loved and loving widow of Brigadier Colquhoun Lloyd Fox, CBE, and loved and loving friend of the late Lt. Colonel Frank Silvester White. Dearly loved mother of Carolinda Maitland and grandmother of Samantha and Annabel.
GRAVINO. On November 16, ROMINA, beloved daughter of Antonia and Carmelo, passed away comforted by the rites of Holy Church, at the age of 33. She leaves of mourn her loss her parents Antonia and Carmelo, her brother Alessandro and his girlfriend Miriam, her grandfather Alfredo, uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends. The funeral will leave Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow for St Peter’s parish church in Birżebbuġa, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 2.30pm followed by interment at Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery in Safi. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
MALLIA. On November 16, PHILIP, aged 73, passed away peacefully at Mater Dei Hospital, after a short illness. He leaves to mourn his loss his brothers Joseph and his wife Gladys and Jeffrey and his wife Mary Rose, his sisters Wilhelmina and her husband Marcel Grech, Marlene and her husband Raymond Leach and Valerie and her husband Hadrian Attard Bezzina, besides all his nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2.30pm for Tal-Erwieħ church, Tarxien where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3pm, followed by interment at Tal-Erwieħ Cemetery. Heartfelt thanks go to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Neuro Medical Ward, Mater Dei Hospital. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
MUSCAT. On November 16, at Mater Dei Hospital, ĠUŻI, widower of Esperia, of Floriana, aged 92, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Mario and his wife Jane, Isabelle and her husband Alfred, Albert and his wife Fania and Andrew and his wife Irene, his grandchildren Brendon, Martina, Robert and his fiancée Yelena, Liam, Diane and her fiancé Giulio, his sisters Connie and Violetta, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2pm for St Publius parish church, Floriana, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, PO Box 63, Birkirkara BKR1000, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
