Everything for the ladies at MFCC expo
Margaret Abela, wife of the President, and Kate Gonzi, wife of the prime minister, attended the opening of Me am Chic yesterday.
The second edition of the ME am Chic! Women's Expo is currently being held at the MFCC in Ta' Qali.
The expo is packed with all sorts of perks for the ladies, from live demonstrations to make over sessions, educational seminars, beauty therapies, fashion stalls, catwalks, hair shows, spa products and treatments and fitness equipment.
MFCC said the exhibitors are expecting a higher turnout than last year's 10,000 visitors with a setup and programme that promise to be better than last year's and a schedule, which provides an entertaining list of attractions, and appeals to women of any age.
Whilst visitors try out the various samples on display, and undertake makeovers in the beauty stations, the main stage is also packed with interesting items including the special guest singer Desi Castro who will be co-presenting and entertaining guests throughout the Style Awards taking place this evening.
Tomorrow will see the Fashion Collective featuring the Supernova Model 16 finalists amongst other highlights.
'The most innovative part of this year's Expo is the National Nail Competition where Malta's nail technicians are getting the chance to participate in a professional competition which exposes their talent on a national level.'
The competition is held on multiple levels and disciplines to give an equal opportunity to all nail techs at any level to participate and win the grand prize which will take them to the UK to participate in one of the biggest nail expos in the world.
The fairis aimed for all visitors, with various displays along the venue, food and drinks at the Bar and a dedicated Children's Area with constant activities being organized for the younger visitors.
The Expo will also feature an episode of the TV programme Ilsien in-Nisa, live demonstrations and a lottery draw competition, the winner of which will win the Expo's Crown Jewel worth over €2,400.

Nice to see Mrs Abela (our First Lady) taking a leading role within MCCF. I augur that Mrs Abela does not shy away from her responsibilities as First Lady. I am sure she can do an excellent job.
