It seems to me that the forces behind the Prime Minister are intent on making him look ridiculous. The latest gaffe he has been fed concerns a “big Brazilian company” that transferred its headquarters to Malta from Brazil and has been operating here for the last 12 months.

No wonder the number of unemployed has not been reduced by this move.

All four employees – most probably including the office cleaner – have not had any effect on the number of people registering for work. And, very probably, all four employees will be discharged very shortly and we shall not hear any more about it.

Already, the Prime Minister refuses to answer questions about this farce. Could it be that someone would like to see the back of GonziPN as quickly as possible and for good? The present Administration has been dubbed “sinister” and the people occupying the highest posts in the Administration have been discredited a long time ago.

All we need now is for the EU to refuse to appoint Tonio Borg as commissioner. The Dalligate story has hit us hard enough in European circles. GonziPN’s planned reshuffle will explode in his face and throw the PN into another panic situation.

In the many years I have followed politics I have never witnessed such a horrific turmoil in and out of Parliament.

The most influential ministers – including the Prime Minister – have lost all credibility.

Let us hope for a better future.
