The first Bupa Stiletto Fun Race in aid of the annual charity event L-Istrina will be held on Sunday morning.

Starting at 9am, the participants meet at the entrance to the Me Am Chic Expo at the MFCC in Ta’Qali and then jog, power walk or strut their way along a 7km route to the finish line, wearing stilettos.

A grand prize will be awarded to the fastest stiletto to cross the finish line along with best costume in heels, most fabulous shoe and more.

To be eligible for prizes, participants must be registered and complete the race in a shoe with a minimum heel height of 7.5cms and no more than 10 centimetres circumference.

Shoes may not be taped to the foot and wedges will not be allowed.

“I was inspired to bring a fresh and fun event to Malta organised by women in business who at work wear heels most of the day… partnering with the Me Am Chic Expo seemed a natural fit for such an event.

“Obviously, we aim to make this event a huge success and it has all been made possible with the help of our generous sponsors BUPA Malta,” said Bernice Micallef, director of Communiqué Creative Ltd.
