MPs should take action
Is it the fault of the clerk who enters the wrong time of the crime in the log book at the police station which allows the abuse of a child and muggings to go unanswered? Should we therefore prosecute him/her? Or should the crime go unpunished? Or is it the fault of our code of laws that allows such petty mistakes to nullify action against criminals and, thus, ensure they are not accountable for their crimes?
I feel the fault lies with the lethargic electorate who should protest loudly to their elected representatives and insist they take action to ensure that such crimes are successfully prosecuted.
Unless this is done we will continue to have a travesty of justice in this country.

There was "supposedly " an investigation into the recent mishap (!) when such a scenario occurred as you state,i.e. an incorrectly filled in charge sheet. What were the conclusions of this in-house "investigation" and how many other similar cases of such incorrectly filled in charge sheets -resulting in the case not heard in court- have taken place? As I alone know of six(6) such scenario's .
