New book documents Malta-Gozo airlink

George Kissaun’s book, My Life in Aviation – The Malta-Gozo Airlink, was launched in Gozo recently under the auspices of the Gozo University Group.
The book documents the airlink between Malta and Gozo since 1967 and examines the possible future development of a fixed-wing airfield in Gozo, providing a link with Malta and neighbouring Mediterranean countries.
The speakers, including former Gozo Minister Anton Tabone, Gozo Business Chamber president Michael Grech, Gozo Tourism Association CEO Joe Muscat, GUG president Ryan Mercieca and the author, agreed on the importance of increasing accessibility to Gozo and argued that an airlink was an essential tool.
A debate followed the speakers’ presentations.

Lets stop talking and make this reality in the year 2012............Malta needs a viable airlink. There is grumbling out there from a very small number of people who are vocal and nothing ever gets done. I wish they get vocal where the need is but not on the airlink. If they think we can have a bridge or a tunnel, they are only dreaming. If Malta has oil, maybe a tunnel or bridge. But not yet.
