Sagħtar back-to-school issue

As students across Malta are now well into the new scholastic year, the latest issue of Sagħtar, the Malta Union of Teachers’ magazine aimed at primary and secondary school students, is now available.

This new edition includes a number of contributions from education professionals and from students themselves, covering a variety of topics from pets to short stories, movies, art, nature, history, sport, humour and more.

Football fans, in particular those who follow the Spanish teams, will be happy to find a colour poster of Barcelona player Andres Iniesta.

For the younger readers, the adventures of Nokkla Safra, our homegrown version of Goldilocks, continue and there are other stories and poems penned by students themselves to enjoy.

This issue’s movie spotlight falls on Popeye, while older readers will certainly enjoy the entertainment feature, which this month focuses on the recently held concert Rockestra. There are also word games, colouring pages and some fun spot-the-differences to keep readers entertained.

Sagħtar is published every month, between October and May. An annual subscription costs €8. The magazine may also be bought monthly at €1 per copy. A subscription form may be obtained from schools or by calling 2123 7815 or 2166 6443.
