“This single will unfortunately be our last one… Bridget Bone have to go their separate ways, both in music and life,” are the words that set the You Tube clip for Bridget Bone’s final release rolling.

Titled Dealer of Love, the song consolidates the band’s openly Anglophile influences, but in contrast to their previous three singles, their swansong is less hectic.

There’s a hint of poignancy lurking in the underlying arrangement and an evident sense of maturity about the songwriting that makes it a real pity the band has decided to call it a day.

One hopes its members will still make their presence felt in the local scene via new projects.
