A few days ago, I forgot my mobile and key on a bench in Attard. My car was locked and parked about eight metres away in a square along with several other cars.

Luckily, someone took it upon him/herself to find out which car the key belonged to, opened my car, put the key and mobile under the mat and wrote a note to this effect, placing it under one of the wipers face down. Whoever it was, this person is not only decent but smart too.

I would like to publicly thank whoever was responsible for this civilised act. This is an example everyone should follow and is what makes a healthy society.

It seems that decent people do exist and their deeds should be commended publicly.
