NANI: Manchester United’s Nani has been ruled out for 10 days with a hamstring injury. The winger suffered the problem during Wednesday’s Champions League encounter with Braga.

JOL: Martin Jol revealed Fulham had approached him to activate the clause in his contract that would see him stay at Craven Cottage until 2014. Cottagers boss Jol confirmed he and the club held talks “a month ago or so” about extending his time in charge beyond the end of the season. The Dutchman joined Fulham in the summer of 2011 on a two-year contract with an option of a third year.

BORUC: Southampton goalkeeper Artur Boruc is back in contention for today’s clash with Swansea after an alleged incident in their last home game with Tottenham. The Polish keeper missed Monday’s defeat at WBA after allegations he threw a bottle at home fans and swore at them, but manager Nigel Adkins says he is in his thoughts once more following the conclusion of a thorough investigation.

FEGHOULI: Valencia midfielder Sofiane Feghouli wants to stay at Valencia after the playmaker was linked with a move away from the Mestalla. Some of Europe’s top clubs are reportedly interested in the Algerian. Feghouli said: “The thing I do best is play football and off the field I leave things to my representatives, whom I trust. I’m very happy here and want to play for this team for as long as possible.”

CHELSEA: Champions League winners Chelsea reported a profit of £1.4 million in the financial year to end-June 2012, the first time they have been in the black since Roman Abramovich bought the club in 2003. The profit compares with a loss of £67.7 million in the previous financial year. The club said the figures put it in a strong position to comply with UEFA Financial Fair Play rules for the coming seasons.
