The Maltese women’s football team yesterday got their international 2012-13 campaign off to an auspicious start when they won the first of two scheduled friendly matches against Estonia at the Centenary Stadium. Second-half goals from Dorianne Theuma and Ylenia Carabott saw the locals through in a balanced match that had both coaches introducing new faces ahead of the commitments coming up. The next Malta-Estonia friendly will be played tomorrow with kick-off time set at 6.45 p.m. Picture shows an action from yesterday’s match. Photo: Paul Zammit Cutajar
