Nesquik products in Malta not affected by US recall

Nesquik products in Malta are not involved in a recall being undertaken in the USA< Nestlè Malta said this afternoon.

It said that Nestlé USA had embarked on a voluntary recall of limited quantities of Nesquik Chocolate powder after it was informed by a supplier that there may be salmonella in some batches of an ingredient it supplied to Nestlé.   

This ingredient, Nestlè Malta said, was used only in Nesquik powder and no other countries were affected by this recall.

“While there have been no reports of any illness or adverse health effects, to ensure safety to consumers, Nestlé USA has taken this precautionary measure.”

Nestlé Malta said that the production of Nesquik powders for Malta is carried out in France.
