Children and grandparents join MEPs for a game of bowling

A group of about 60 children and their grandparents joined MEPs Edward Scicluna and Joseph Cuschieri for a game of bowling at the Eden Superbowl in St Julian's.

The event was organised by the European Parliament Information Office in Vallett to celebrate the European Year of Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations.

It was held to a raise awareness of the contribution of older people to society and to promote measures that create better opportunities for older people to remain active.

The European Year aims to encourage all policymakers and stakeholders to set themselves specific commitments related to active ageing and to take action to meet these goals.
