Video interviews of youths talking about their careers, talents, social life and fashion are being featured in a new youth section The Zone on www.timesofmalta.com/thezone. Tomorrow two new interviews will be uploaded on the following youths.
Life doesn’t have to revolve only around University when you are a student there.
There are many other things to do with your time besides sweating over exams. For example, you can acquire soft skills by getting involved in students’ organisations, just like Andrea Attard.
Aged only 20 he is already taking on many responsibilities besides studying economics and banking at University.
Nevertheless, it has never been more worthwhile for him to deal in professional terms with responsibilities at the Erasmus Student Network organisa-tion and do PR work for the University Students’ Council.
Interested in accounting? Bernie Wirth is an aspiring accountant who has managed to complete nine out of 14 ACCA exams and she is still only 20 years old.
If anyone can convince you that the accounting profession is worth exploring and can be fun, it is Ms Wirth. Watch the video interview with her tomorrow on The Zone.
Get heard and share your own experiences with others. Tell them about your career choice, what it takes to get where you are, the ups and downs you experience, and offer advice to those who are still uncertain about what they want to do in the future.
To be interviewed for The Zone, send an e-mail with a brief description of your career, talent, or a social issue you would like to discuss.
Alternatively, you can send your own video. Send a low-resolution version of your file to thezone@timesofmalta.com.
