Lifecyclists made their way through Mudgee in Australia yesterday as their challenge entered its fifth day to reach the half way mark.

The cyclists are on a 1,900-kilometre bike ride from Brisbane to Melbourne to raise funds for the Renal Unit at Mater Dei Hospital.

Yesterday, the cyclists continued through New South Wales from Muswellbrook to Mudgee and covered about 170km. The route was hilly and temperatures reached 34C.

The first three days of the Life-cycle Challenge were hard with seven cyclists dropping out due to injury as they battled heavy hail. Yesterday, another cyclist had to pull out due to injury, leaving 23 active riders.The remaining cyclists are now on their way to Bathurst to complete the challenge.
