In her letter entitled AD Only Party For Full Gay Rights (October 29), Demi Tanti expresses her concern that children of gay parents would be bullied at school. She might be right to a certain extent but she’s got to look beyond the end of her nose.

When I first started working with children, the mobile phone was still a new thing and, so, when it would ring in class all the children would burst out laughing.

However, the children I work with today were born into a world where the mobile phone was long invented and so they are not impressed when it rings.

What I am trying to say is that, by time, children with gay parents would be regarded as the most normal thing. Then, bullies will get back to bullying the fatties, the smarties, or whoever.

The problem is always the bullies themselves and not who they decide to bully.
