The Marsa incinerator should be back in operation on November 7, Wasteserv said this evening.

Replying to a statement this morning by Labour MP Leo Brincat, in which Mr Brincat said that the incinerator had not been working since Saturday because it was damaged, Wasteserv said that it was time to stop the incinerator for maintenance but it also needed immediate repairs in its combustion chamber.

Wasteserv said the incinerator was stopped for maintenance every four to five weeks. It was also stopped whenever repairs were needed.
