Students at the Malta College of Arts Science and Technology reading for a BA (Hons) in Business Enterprise recently delivered presentations regarding a series of innovative products and services to a panel of lecturers and business representatives.
These included a plan to fit cars with a gadget that generates alternative energy when they drive over potholes and the opening of a restaurant that combines fine dining with nutritionists’ advice.
The panel included officials from Malta Enterprise, APS Bank Malta, Junior Achievement Young Enterprise and Yellow Pages (Malta).
The presentations were held at the APS Bank Malta centre in Swatar.
Other business plans presented by the students from the college’s Institute of Business and Commerce included one for the development of a website providing owners of local clothing shops with an online parallel distribution channel to market their non-branded or non-mainstream brands online, as well as an off-the-shelf GPS security system to prevent boat theft.
After the presentations the panel gave the students feedback on how they could strengthen their business plans and improve their presentation skills when proposing ideas to entrepreneurs or potential investors.
