Nestlé appoints Nectar Group distributor of ice cream brands

Nestlé has appointed Nectar Group as sole distributors of their ice cream brands Nestlé ice cream (also featured as Motta Ice Cream), Antica Gelateria del Corso and Buitoni Frozen foods from January 1.

Established in 1991, Nectar Group has grown to become one of Malta’s most successful importation and distribution group. With an extensive network its vast portfolio of food, beverage and confectionery products is widely stocked in all leading stores.

Food giant Nestlé has had a fully-owned Malta subsidiary for almost a century. Nestlé Malta has many brands that are households names to consumers, including Kitkat, Perugina, Quality Street, After Eight, San Pellegrino, Nestlé Vera, Panna, Friskies, Gourmet and Purina.

“The appointment of Nectar Group as our distributors marks a new and interesting business collaboration which is expected to streamline our distribution operations as well as bring more efficiency in the way we do business,” Nestlé Malta corporate communications manager Alfred Borg said.
