Construct Furniture takes on foreign market

Construct furniture, which has been providing the Maltese market with custom-made furniture for over 30 years, has now established itself as a hub for exports to North Africa, the Middle East and across Europe.

The company started out as a small one-man workshop business, manufacturing bathroom furniture. The venture continued to expand at a steady pace, until finally, in 1990, Construct Furniture Co. Ltd was established and a new modern showroom and factory were opened in Luqa. Some years back the company extended its operations to Tripoli, Libya.

While the biggest production demands remain established on the local market, the exports side of the business keeps increasing at a steady rate, with Construct Furniture consistently growing its share in these new areas.

The new ventures bring with them a fair amount of challenges related to each particular location, the biggest and most universal probably being the lack of a specialised workforce available both in Malta and abroad. To these, an amount of logistical issues, such as over-inflated expenses on local exporters and transport delays due to unforeseen events, need to be added.

However, bringing together a successful mix of expertise and determination, Construct Furniture is determined to continue growing the company presence in a number of other countries in the short-term future. And of course, the satisfaction of establishing a firm reputation for high-quality products and competitiveness, together with successfully promoting Malta abroad, by far outweighs the issues created by these challenges.

The company is known for offering a vast portfolio of furniture, which includes master bedrooms, children’s bedrooms, kitchens, internal doors, apartment main doors, wall units, dining rooms, office furniture, occasional loose furniture, hotel furniture and contract furniture. What places these products a cut above is Construct Furniture’s approach and total flexibility when it comes to meeting the client’s requirements, together with a state-of-the-art after-sales service.
