Year 6 teachers in Church and state schools have been ordered to follow last year's religion syllabus since his year's revised one has not yet been given to them in full. The directive was issued by the Malta Union of Teachers.

This year the religion syllabus of Year 6 students was revised but only parts of the new syllabus was released to teachers. As a result, the teachers do not have a complete picture and cannot not plan their year, the MUT said.

Teachers do not even have the list of students' text books yet, the union added.
