The five-star Corinthia Palace Hotel and Spa in Attard was named Malta’s Leading Hotel for the fourth year running at the World Travel Awards (WTA) in Portugal this month.

International Hotel Investments plc (IHI), which owns the Corinthia brand, also celebrated the Corinthia Hotel St Petersburg being named Russia’s Leading Conference Hotel on the same evening.

The luxury Corinthia Palace Hotel and Spa in Attard was the first hotel to fly the Corinthia flag when it opened in 1968.

Fast forward to 2009, when the 400-room luxury Corinthia Hotel St Petersburg was re-launched with more bedrooms and more facilities under one roof than any other luxury five-star hotel in the city.

Known as the Oscars of the travel industry, the WTA finals night was attended by VIPs from 35 nations.
