It’s all about eyes for Threads, a franchise that started in Ireland in 2009, spread to the UK and has just opened in Malta on Level 0 at Bay Street, St Julian’s.

It offers a combination of beauty products, including semi-permanent eyebrow pencils and false lashes with the service of threading, the Asian art of hair removal.

The eyebrow pencils are natural, sweat- and waterproof, and transfer resistent. There is a choice of nine different styles of false lashes.

The technique of threading involves using 100 per cent cotton thread to safely and painlessly remove unwanted facial hair from the roots. If used consistently, the hair follicle weakens and becomes less dense. Eventually there is a reduction in hair growth or it stops growing compeletly.

Since a session lasts about 15 minutes, Threads is focused on express, on-the-run business. Walk-in appointments are accepted. Opening times are from noon to 8 pm daily.
