Eikon to open first European campus at Smart City
Eikon International, an investment company operating in the education field, is to establish its first European campus at Smart City Malta.
Global College Malta will launch operations offering an MBA and a Foundation Programme next January. By next September, GCM’s programmes will be extended to include undergraduate degrees in business, engineering, IT, the humanities and life sciences.
For 10 years, Eikon International has delivered programmes of reputable international universities and schools in countries with a high growth potential. With a track record for making school and higher education brands available to students in India and the Middle East, the company considered the European and North African regions for its next phase ofexpansion.
“As our early entry into Dubai for the Middle East market has demonstrated, it is important for us to choose a location that has the potential for growth and is attractive to international students from around the region,” Eikon International executive director Vidhya Vinod said.
“Malta, already a centre for students from North Africa and Europe, has the potential for significant growth in higher education provision that we are looking for.”
The company’s core competence is partnering international universities. Students in Malta will be able to choose from a repertoire of internationally-acclaimed Master’s and post-graduate programmes, all of which will necessarily be accredited by the Maltese authorities.
GCM will provide the international learning experience and students will be awarded degrees from partner universities. Further nformation can be obtained by sending an e-mail to [email protected].
