Royal wedding in Luxembourg

Belgium's Countess of Lannoy married Luxembourg's Crown Prince Guillaume today, with European royalty on hand for the ceremony.

The wedding was held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Luxembourg  following a civil ceremony.

Many of the guests had royal ties of their own, including the prince and princess of Spain's Asturias region.

England's Prince Edward and Countess Sophie were also there.

Crowds gathered in Luxembourg to watch the arrivals on a big screen, freely offering their own commentary on Countess Stephanie's wedding gown.

The festivities were set to finish in the evening with a big fireworks display.

Ma what spoil sports. It's as if they're spending your own money. And anyway, it's Luxembourg. They've got enough money to make Solomon blush.

Not really, look at ll the souvenirs sold and tourism these events bring in, but then again I guess you're not really about the money, you just don't like the Royalty and Noble scene maybe.

€350,000 of public money to be precise. Luckily, in Malta we would never dream to waste public money.

Well, except maybe the €80,000,000 Valletta project of course. In a country that is significantly less well off than Luxembourg.
