Explosives, weapons found in Zejtun garage

The police are continuing their investigations after finding explosive material and unlicensed weapons in a garage used by a mechanic in Zejtun.

The discovery was made earlier this afternoon as the police continued investigations into reports that a bomb was being put together.

Members of the army Bomb Disposal Unit were on the scene. A sniffer dog was also used.

Magistrate Consuelo Scerri-Herrera is leading an inquiry

As a Zejtunija born and bred, allow me to point out that the vast majority of Zwieten are a morally-sound and peace-loving people. The fact that some Zwieten do not abide by the norm is not unique to our community. Black sheep are present in every family/community/village.... As long as police forces remain impartial and free of poliical intrusion, Zejtun will continue to hold its head high.

I thought you were refering to the bombs which were quite common when labour was in government and nationalists were in opposition.

What are you implying Mr.Ebejer? The arrested person is well known to the police ....you know, like the ones given suspended sentences and presidential pardons.

Please educate yourself and dont judge a population by the few. I have found here you find the friendliest and the most helpful people. When trying to go up a few steps with my puschair or to go up the arriva with the kids in the north everybody pushes you to get up before you and give you a glare while people in Zejtun come and help you get up/on. You can find good and bad people anywhere(!!!!!!)

Automatically assuming that anyone keeping weapons is a labour supporter is incorrect. The same goes to automatically assuming that anyone rich and powerful is nationalist. :)

I have to assume you hardly ever visit Zejtun and most probably you've never attended any of the cultural Activities such as Zejt iz-Zejtun and the rest of the activities prepared by youths.

You should spare some of your time and get to know the facts about this town. instead of doing a lot of questions you can see this by yourself and make your own opinion.
