Francis Xavier Giorgio is the winner of the 19th edition of the Senior of the Year Award organised by the Secretariat for the Elderly and Community Care.

Mr Giorgio does voluntary work and takes care of the maintenance of Villa Skinas where Catholic Action meetings are held. He also organises Mass every first week of the month, as well as social events for youths.

Sr Rose Casapinta is the winner of the Special Award.

This award is given to an elderly person who improves the quality of life of the elderly who attend a home or day centre. She worked for 20 years in Sri Lanka, 10 years in the Congo and eight years in Libya.
