The Economic Performance of Small States is the theme of a public seminar to be held on Thursday from 6pm to 7.30pm. at the University’s Islands and Small States Institute on campus.

The guest speaker is Philippe Hein, a member and Rapporteur of the United Nations Committee on Development Policy, who will speak on Small Countries among the Least Developed Countries and their Graduation.

Lino Briguglio, director of the institute will discuss why small vulnerable states often perform well economically while Roderick Pace, director of the Institute for European Studies, will talk about the EU’s small member states.

Stefano Moncada will chair the seminar.
