Students at the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology have called for closer collaboration between the college’s 10 institutes to help students from different areas of study undertake new multi-disciplinary research and learning opportunities.

This was one of various suggestions made by students to the new Mcast principal and CEO Stephen Cachia, during a discussion on the theme My Kind of Mcast.

During the event, which was held as part of this year’s Freshers’ Days at the college’s main campus in Paola, students were invited to propose ideas on how to improve their campus experience.

Mr Cachia recommended that students get involved in the Mcast student council and organise additional extra-curricular events on campus.

In this regard, more student organisations were urged to establish branches on the Mcast campus.
