MSV offering €10,000 free life insurance

A new product designed by MSV Life offers recently married couples free life insurance of €10,000 for up to one year.

Part of the company’s life insurance awareness campaign, the policy complements another product which offers free life insurance for new parents providing €10,000 life cover.

Chief officer sales management Stuart Fairbairn explained that MSV was committed to helping customers who needed life insurance the most by offering a level of free cover with an option to increase it depending on their circumstances.

“Throughout our lives we all have differing needs for life insurance,” Mr Fairbairn said. “The obvious times are when we take a car loan or a home loan and the lender may require a policy as security. However there are less obvious times when life insurance is a must. When we get married we commit to each other ‘til death do us part’. We share our lives and part of that involves finances. We become financially dependent on each other and, as such, begin to rely on each other’s income or wealth.”

He explained that spouses needed to consider the impact on widows or widowers: funeral expenses, and debt repayment.

How would a spouse cope financially without the other? Would they be able to manage the household bills? Would they be able to maintain their same lifestyle they enjoyed as a couple?

Premiums are accessible and affordable: a couple aged 25 can take out a policy offering €100,000 cover for 10 years for less than €1 a day.
