AZZOPARDI. On October 10, ROSE of Valletta, residing at Fleur-de-Lys, aged 80, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Joseph and her children Nadine and her husband Tony, Winston and his wife Karen, Lorraine and her husband David, her grandchildren, her brothers and sisters, her in-laws and their families, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 9.30am for the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery chapel where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 10 a.m., followed by interment in the family grave. Donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
LAPIRA. On October 11, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPH CHARLES, after a short illness bravely borne with Christian fortitude and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his beloved wife Mary, his adored children Josette and her husband Mark Miceli Farrugia, Lionel and his wife Dorothy, Alec and his wife Enza, Aida and her husband John Tortell, his grandchildren, Nicola, Matthew, Luke, Daniel, Jessica, Christina and Christopher, relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said tomorrow at 8.45am at St Joseph parish church, Msida, followed by interment at St Andrew Cemetery, Żebbuġ. MICALLEF. On October 10, Brigadier GEORGE VICTOR , MOM, CBE, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss, his children Jacqui, and her husband Adrian Strickland, Peter and his wife Elizabeth, Suzanne and Keith, his grandchildren, Lara, Gerald, Robert, Ella, Michael, Iain, Carla, Luca and Renata and their respective spouses, his 16 great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. SAMMUT. On October 11, at Casa Arkati, Mosta, ANTONIA, ex-Assistant Head, Rabat Primary School, residing at Rabat, passed away peacefully at the age of 92, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Casa Arkati tomorrow at 8am for St Paul’s Collegiate parish church, Rabat, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at Santa Margherita Cemetery, Rabat.
