Relieved and pleased that she has been found (hopefully) safe and well.
I guess that she has some questions to answer.

Malta is well known for its safety but we know that times are changing. I am not saying that crimes didn't happen in the past but they are becoming more frequent now. Isn't it high time that the police work in tandem with local councils and come up with a national neighbourhood watch plan? Why are cameras installed only for tax purposes and not for security surveillance in sensitive areas?

Good lord...something similar happened to me. All I did was ask the girl for the telephone number of her parents or friends and we called them to come and pick her up. Let us hope that she is staying at some friends......

The POlice need to get the public more involved in such searches They need to expose information and not hide it. Last place seen and any movements need to be spelled out now. People should be asked to be vigilant and photos distributed to every retail outlet every bar and club in paceville and make sure that Zebbug is searched door to door if need be
Let s do a job well!

it is time that we do not trust children out on the streets alone, the roads have become full of monsters both local grown and foreign grown. why cant we be more like Wales and organise a thorough search if need be even locals can help at least it might help and why wasnt a search orgainised as soon as the girl was reported missing?? they say the first 48 hours are crutial .

Can the police be more proactive in their search for a twelve year old. If she has been missing from Thursday that nearly 48 Hours

There is a stipulated time after which they can start searching...

I am sure that the authorities concerned are leaving no stone unturned. However it would be good idea for the police to issue out pics with her school uniform...this could help jolt the memories of some members of the public who could have been driving through the area at the time.

Yes it is not safe on our streets any longer ! Sad very Sad indeed ! I would imagine a 12 year old would know her way round especially from school to her house. If it was me I would have stayed with her , and phone the police and still stay till the police come . Let this be an eye opener. I would advice the public to do there part AND GET ORGANIZED TO SEARCH AND TO PROTECT OUR KIDS .
