A block of 12 apartments in Sutton will be operative in November to facilitate accommodation for Puttinu  Cares residents receiving cancer treatment in the UK.

The block is Puttinu’s second and the new apartments will include, internet, data network, a telephony service, free wifi and a network connection with the apartments already in use.

Mita is sponsoring all network equipment worth €2,500. Tenovar is sponsoring telephony equipment worth €2,000. When patients or their families call Malta from the apartments, local rates will be charged.

A cash donation of €3,600 collected from contractors who worked on the new  Mita building in Sta Venera was also presented to Puttinu Cares.

Mita and other companies have also provided laptops for every cancer patient at the Rainbow Ward in Malta, four PCs and interactive white boards.
